KCC&I signs MoU with SGCC&I in Sgr

Srinagar, May 04 (KNO): The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) and The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the KCCI office, Srinagar. The MoU was signed at the Special Executive Meeting of the KCCI and SGCCI office bearers, in presence of the Commissioner Industries and Commerce, Vikramjit Singh, the Chief Guest. The Director Handicrafts, Kashmir, Mehmood Ahmad Shah was also present on this occasion, a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reads. The MoU was signed by the President KCCI Javid Ahmad Tenga and SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia on behalf of their respective Chambers. The MoU provides for mutual cooperation in respect of encouraging trade activities, exchange of trade delegations/participation of trade fairs/ exhibitions. Both chambers shall establish effective consultation, cooperation and the exchange of Information on trade: Both the Chambers shall jointly organize and hold conferences, meetings, seminars, workshops, presentations for their members to strengthen commerce and explore new trade opportunities. Both Chambers will mutually cooperate in the best possible manner so that the trade can grow and flourish with required interventions and coordination, likewise, both parties shall carry out their respective responsibilities with due diligence and in a professional manner; Both the Chambers shall exchange information on the economy, trade, publication, trade regulations, industrialization, economic legislation and business practices being enforced in their Chambers. Wherever applicable, both parties may extend the best cooperation and support to achieve the aims. Both chambers shall provide mutual support in order to encourage their members to participate in different business events/International Business Exhibitions. Both chambers will help with visits of commercial and economic delegations between both Chambers enabling the counterparts for the best realization of business contacts and shall inform each other about national and international fairs/ exhibitions etc. Both Chambers agree to operationalize the Chamber-to-Chamber activities/meaningful liaison to foster trade. The SGCCI President highlighted the significance of the signing of MOU between two chambers, insofar. Under GLOBAL CONNECT MISSION 84 it will open doorway for KCCI to connect with 84 Chamber of Commerce of India and 84 chamber of commerce abroad,84000 entrepreneurs in India and 84000 entrepreneurs abroad; 84 embassies in India and 84 embassies of foreign nations in India. The KCCI President stated that with signing of the MOU the KCCI Members, stakeholders of Kashmir Handicrafts, trade, commerce, Industry, horticulture , tourism, services, education, health manufacturing will receive a major boost. The Chief Guest, Commissioner Industries & Commerce, Vikramjit Singh, congratulated the Presidents of two Chambers of Commerce for signing the MOU which will prove historical as it will provide huge opportunities to Kashmiri businesses, women entrepreneurs, Artisans, weavers, Start-ups etc—(KNO)
